There is good news for railway passengers. Indian Railways has successfully conducted a semi-high speed intercity train ie Vande Bharat Express on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad route. According to the report, Vande Bharat Express completed its journey between Ahmedabad and Mumbai in a trial run of 5 hours without any stoppage. This is the same route on which preparations are being made to run a bullet train. The special thing is that Vande Bharat has also broken the bullet train record in a sense.
The information given by Western Railway states that on September 9, 2022, Vande Bharat’s trial run was taken between Ahmedabad and Mumbai Central, in which this train achieved a speed of 0-100 kmph in just 52 seconds. Earlier a trial run of bullet train or semi-high speed train was taken in which the speed of 0-100 kmph was completed in 54.6 seconds. Western Railway has given this information through a tweet.

record breaking journey
According to the report, Vande Bharat Express completed the 491 km journey between Ahmedabad to Mumbai in 5 hours 14 minutes, that too without stopping at any station. It took even less time to return from there and the train completed the journey from Mumbai Central to Ahmedabad in 5 hours 4 minutes. If the stoppage of this train is started, then the gap between the two cities will be completed in 6 hours.
Service started on Dussehra-Diwali
Vande Bharat train is to be run on Ahmedabad-Mumbai route. Earlier it has been started on Delhi-Varanasi route. Now all the preparations are on for the Ahmedabad-Mumbai route. If everything goes according to plan, Vande Bharat will start on this route till Dussehra or Diwali. Many superfast trains like Shatabdi and Tejas Express are already running on this route. Where Shatabdi takes 6.15 hours, IRCTC train Tejas Express takes 6 hours 20 minutes. Other than these two trains, Vande Bharat will take 5 or 5.15 hours. Simultaneously, preparations for running a bullet train on the Ahmedabad-Mumbai route are also intensified. When the bullet train starts, the journey between Ahmedabad-Mumbai will be completed in 2-3 hours. The speed of the bullet train will be 320 kmph.
